My Father/Tatuaje La Union Black Varies

My Father has long rolled cigars for Tatuaje. But it took My Father & Tatuaje La Union Black to commemorate the twenty-year partnership between Pete Johnson and the Garcia family. ‘The Union’ consists of two distinct recipes, with Pete and the Garcias contributing their respective blends to this limited edition boxed set. Each handmade is a Double Corona named the Prominente Especial, packed with Nicaraguan long fillers, including the prized Pelo d’Oro (‘hair of gold’) leaf. To finish them, Johnson did his half with a shade-grown Nicaraguan Corojo wrapper and a closed foot; Jaime and Pepin contributed the other half in an open-foot version with Ecuador Habano wrapper. This collection is 40 cigars in all and includes a special Xikar Xi1 cutter. Very few of these special boxed sets were made, and we only could get our hands on a couple.
